The Ocean's Future is in Our Hands

Designed and engineered to endure some of the harshest seas, fixed platforms now have the chance to lead in ocean protection too. Joining CWHP turns everyday operations into a statement of responsibility and respect for the marine environment.

Semi-submersible drilling rigs operate at the front-line of offshore exploration. Through the Clearwater Horizons Project, these assets can show that precision, safety and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

Built for strength and precision in shallow waters, jack-ups can now help safeguard those same seas. Participation in CWHP shows commitment, care and a shared vision for a cleaner offshore environment.

Operating at the heart of offshore production, FPSOs can lead the way in environmental stewardship. Joining CWHP turns operational excellence into ocean protection, proving that performance and responsibility can share the same deck.

The crews of Dive Support Vessels work beneath the surface and now they can protect it too. Joining CWHP turns every dive and every mission into a contribution to a cleaner ocean.
CWHP recognises the vital role played by Dive Support Vessels (DSVs) and the companies that operate them in maintaining the safety, integrity, and sustainability of offshore assets.
These vessels spend long periods alongside platforms, rigs, and subsea installations, operating at the very heart of the marine environment.
CWHP provides a practical and measurable way for DSVs and their crews to take part in ocean protection efforts without disrupting critical operations.
By incorporating CWHP into existing vessel procedures, DSV operators can enhance MARPOL compliance, strengthen ISO 14001 commitments and demonstrate visible ESG leadership.
Participation helps ensure that the vessels supporting subsea work are also contributing directly to the long-term health of the ocean they depend on, proving that environmental responsibility and offshore excellence go hand in hand.

The Clearwater Horizons Project welcomes the full participation of Offshore Supply Vessels (OSVs) and support fleets operating worldwide.
If your vessel produces waste, you’re welcome onboard!
CWHP is designed to integrate effortlessly with existing onboard procedures, allowing supply vessels to collect, record, and return waste for responsible recycling — just as easily as any fixed offshore asset.
By taking part, OSVs become an essential link in the chain of offshore environmental responsibility — helping to ensure that the journey between shore base and installation is as clean, efficient, and sustainable as the operations it supports.
Together, offshore assets and their support fleets can make a measurable difference — turning every voyage into an opportunity to protect the ocean we all depend on.

CWHP welcomes the participation of offshore contractors and service companies from every discipline within the energy and maritime sectors.
From inspection and maintenance to catering, logistics and specialist engineering, contractors play an essential role in keeping offshore operations running safely and efficiently.
CWHP provides these companies with a simple, practical framework to enhance their environmental performance while complementing the procedures already required by their clients.
Participation in CWHP enables contractors to demonstrate measurable environmental responsibility, reinforce ISO 14001 and ESG credentials and visibly support their clients’ MARPOL compliance efforts.
Whether your teams are permanently stationed offshore or working on ad hoc projects, your involvement helps strengthen the wider industry commitment to ocean protection.
Together, offshore contractors & service providers can help establish CWHP as the new environmental standard across global offshore operations, proving that responsibility and efficiency work best when achieved side by side.

CWHP invites Rope Access Companies and their teams to take an active role in setting new environmental standards offshore.
Rope Access Technicians play a vital part in the maintenance, inspection and integrity of offshore assets, often working in the most exposed and challenging environments at sea.
Their professionalism, adaptability and commitment to safety make them ideal ambassadors for CWHP’s global mission.
Whether working as core crew or on ad hoc contracts, every Rope Access Technician can participate.
CWHP provides a simple, structured way for rope access teams to contribute to ocean protection while continuing their essential work, complementing existing offshore safety and operational systems.
Our goal is for CWHP Ocean Stewards to be found worldwide: skilled offshore professionals leading by example, reducing marine waste, promoting awareness and proving that environmental care is part of operational excellence.
By adopting CWHP as a new working standard, Rope Access companies and technicians can strengthen their environmental credentials and help protect the very environment they work within every day.

The Clearwater Horizons Project (CWHP) proudly invites industrial rope access technicians from every corner of the world to become CWHP Ocean Stewards — a global community of offshore professionals taking real action to protect our planet’s oceans.
Whether you’re core crew or on ad hoc contracts, you can make a tangible difference. CWHP Ocean Stewards are required to actively participate in reducing plastic waste by contributing to the weekly weigh-in, held every Friday on participating assets.
Each installation’s results are added to the Global League Tables, displayed every Monday on the CWHP website — allowing teams, assets, and companies to track progress and enjoy a little friendly competition while driving serious environmental change.
Participation also gives you the opportunity to register your children or young family members to receive the CWHP Weekly Creature Feature Cards and monthly Ocean Toys (KS1) or Collector Figurines (KS2) for a full year.
This connects offshore families to the mission — boosting morale, sparking curiosity, and helping to raise a new generation of environmentally aware individuals.
Because once they know what’s actually in The Ocean, they’ll want to help save it too.
